Dandelion I by SparklyShoes Dandelion I by SparklyShoes
Sterling silver, tiny blobs of 18ct gold, pearl, bullet shaped peridot and blue moonstone cabochon(both of which unfortunately you can't see all that well in this pic).

The first of two hairpins made for my final project at university.

I love how pearl was used in this instance... marries perfectly with the clean, sophisticated design. Very elegant  And definitely something I'd like to wear :giggle:

Wow that is one snazzy hairpin! The idea is so original! This could be quite successful if you marketed it to a company. A jewelry company of course. Or not it just depends on what you want to do with it.

Wow, this is so beautiful hairpin... It gives away a feel of delicate and nature. No, it is more like a romantic feeling... I would love to buy this, and do you sell it? If so, how does it cost? Congrats for DD.

This is one of the most amazing pieces of nature jewelry I have ever seen in my life. How in the world did you come up with the idea?

:iconsparklyshoes:
SparklyShoes Featured By Owner May 9, 2007   Artisan Crafter
Now that's quite some compliment! :blushes:
The idea was, well, I wanted to make a set of hairpins/haircombs & I saw a pretty pic of a dandelion in a magazine, did some doodles...quite a lot of doodles to be honest, and it just came from there :D.
